Hola! I’m Mayra - an artist, storyteller and graphic designer based in Sacramento, California. I hold a bachelors of science in Graphic Design from Sacramento State and have studied storytelling through PIXAR's Story Experiential program, along with life coaching through Tony Gaskins Academy.
I am currently mentored by Danielle Weber, a Melbourne-based Australian artist, muralist, and NFT enthusiast. Danielle has also created a thriving community of artists focused on mutual support, creative growth, and artistic development - an environment that continually challenges and expands my practice.
My work centers on acrylic painting and visual storytelling, created to inspire curiosity, imagination, and courage. I believe creativity is rooted in play - Play-Doh, crayons, and cheap paint were my first teachers, and I’ve never let them go.
I paint, design, and illustrate wherever Wonder invites me. My goal is simple: to create art that keeps childlike Wonder alive and encourages others to follow what lights them up.
